The 7th edition of the Bucharest Art Pavilion - Art Safari, the largest temporary museum in the country, will take place between September 11-20, 2020, in Bucharest, at Victoria Tower and AFI Cotroceni, under the patronage of the City Hall Bucharest and the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO.
Among the novelties announced during this year's edition are the largest exhibition dedicated to the painter Sabin Bălaşa in the country, the largest exhibition in the last 50 years dedicated to master Gheorghe Petrașcu, and a national premiere exhibition signed by Guerrilla Girls, a group whose art made it accross the world. Art Safari also hosts a comprehensive exhibition dedicated to contemporary and supercontemporary artists in Bucharest, under the umbrella of the "Bucharest School". Names like Dumitru Gorzo, Geta Brătescu, Vlad Nancă, Saddo and Ştefan Câlţia will be present.
Art Safari will also organize an exhibition that will focus on works of art created by children during the isolation period. Also, the little artists will have their own educational program within Art Safari Kids - art workshops (watercolor illustration, wire sculpture workshops, glass painting, clay modeling, self-portrait workshops, ceramic painting, comics) and tours guided on a route redesigned for them.
In total, Art Safari 2020 hosts 11,000 square meters of Romanian heritage and contemporary art, but also international art - about 800 works of art, which come from the collections of 18 museums and 84 private collections.
