The Clubs, Centers and Associations for UNESCO are non-governmental organizations made up of groups of people of all ages and socio-professional categories, which aim to translate the values of UNESCO into the current life. Clubs adhere to UNESCO's ethical, cultural and intellectual principles, promoting international cooperation and understanding.
The Clubs for UNESCO collaborate closely with the UNESCO National Commissions in their countries.
The Clubs in Romania are reunited in the Romanian Federation of Associations, Centers and Clubs for UNESCO (FRACCU). FRACCU is part of the European Federation of Associations, Centers and Clubs for UNESCO (FEACCU), which brings together clubs from Europe and North America. FEACCU is one of the 5 regional organizations established in 2001, part of the World Federation of Associations, Centers and Clubs for UNESCO (WFUCA).
