Heritage in the digital age. Studies and good practices in Romania.

The National Commission of Romania for UNESCO organizes tomorrow, October 16, starting with 10.00, the online scientific colloquium entitled “Heritage in the digital age. Studies and good practices in Romania.” The event aims to promote nationally and internationally Romanian projects that use digital technologies to conserve, research and promote cultural heritage.
The participants in this event bring together representatives of public institutions, academia, research institutes, but also the private sector.
There will be addressed topics such as: the E-patrimoniu.ro portal; the E-culture project and the culturalia.ro platform; computer-assisted approaches in historical linguistics; digitization of stone crosses in Prahova County; 3D digitization projects within the National Union Museum of Alba Iulia; the virtual museum Roman Sarmizegetusa; the use of high-resolution 2D and 3D digital products in scientific research and online publishing; modeling literary trends in Romanian history; advanced language processing techniques for restoring old Romanian documents; Pro-Europeana, the digital library of cultural publications; digitization of the material patrimony in a state of collapse and pre-collapse; digitization of civil status documents from the National Archives of Romania; the Deposit of the Special Fund of the National Museum of History of Romania and the communismulinromania.ro project; revaluation of the forgotten heritage of Bucharest.
