Marking the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Heritage, the Romanian Geoparks have crafted virtual posters that encapsulate the traditions and crafts distinct to their regions. This endeavor was spearheaded by the National Forum of UNESCO Geoparks in Romania in collaboration with the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO.
Both international UNESCO Geoparks — Tara Hațegului Geopark and Buzau County Geopark — along with aspiring geoparks like Oltenia de sub Munte, Carpaterra, and Dobrogea Chimerica, participated in the project.
These posters were unveiled during the European Geoparks Week from 5th to 12th June.
