The tradition of the ancient Romanian blouse, echoes over generations
Article published on 25-06-2021On June 24, at the 2Art Gallery, the “Mihai Eminescu” Cultural Center hosted an event with a rich significance: “The tradition of the ancient Romanian blouse, echoes over generations”, a project realized together with the National Commission of Romania for UNESCO, within the Anniversary Program “Romania and UNESCO, bridges over time - 65 years since accession".
During the event, Mrs. Madlen Șerban, Secretary - General of the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO, Mr. Radu Mihaiu, Mayor of District 2 Cityhall, Ms. Alexandra Chirilă, Deputy Mayor of District 2 Cityhall, Priest Mihai Popescu, Archpriest of the Archdiocese of District 2 and Ms. Nicoleta Paninopol, Manager of the “Mihai Eminescu” Cultural Center.
The program of the event also included a thematic presentation given by prof. univ. dr. Doina Ișfănoni, member of the National Commission for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the opening of the painting exhibition with the theme “Romanian blouse tradition” and an exhibition of old traditional costumes. In the end, the guests watched an artistic moment performed by Ms. Ozana Barabancea, vocal artist.
The event was attended by officials and institutional partners, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and priests from the Archdiocese of District 2.
